Veterinarians
Dr Jacklynn Bowcott, BScH, DVM
Veterinarian, Owner Dr Jackie, a Woodstock native, is a 2012 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. She has been actively involved in veterinary medicine for over 10 years. She enjoys every facet of veterinary medicine but particularly enjoys canine medicine and surgery and has been certified in abdominal ultrasound. She is very busy with her menagerie at home including; chickens, horses, cats, dogs, three kids, and a husband! |
Dr Shana Halfon, DVM, BSc, VSMT
Veterinarian, Owner Dr Shana is a 2006 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. She enjoys every facet of veterinary medicine but particularly enjoys surgery, dentistry, and feline medicine and has a strong interest in alternative therapies. Dr Halfon is a graduate of the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre and provides veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (VSMT) treatments! She currently shares her home with her young soccer loving family and a three legged rescue cat and a King Charlies Cavalier Spaniel! |
Dr Sharon Andratis, DVM
Veterinarian Dr Sharon Andratis is a 1997 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. Right after graduation she went to Alberta for 4 years then returned to Ontario. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with special interest in wellness/preventative medicine, dentistry and dermatology. She lives with her husband, daughter, 2 dogs and 2 cats in Woodstock. |
Dr Amy Lynes, BScH, DVM
Veterinarian Dr. Amy graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Animal Biology in 2017, followed by becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021. She particularly enjoys surgery and ultrasound, and always loves seeing any herding breed dog who comes in the clinic! In her spare time she enjoys hiking & camping with her husband and two dogs. |
Dr Paisley Canning, DVM, PhD
Veterinarian After completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2014, Dr. Paisley travelled to Iowa State University for a large animal medicine fellowship and PhD focusing on arthritis, diagnostics and anesthesia in pigs. She has many published articles on infectious disease, pharmacology, and cytology in pigs. Dr. Paisley has diverse veterinary clinical and research experience. She has worked with everything from fish, emus, alpacas, poultry, camels, small mammals, and wildlife to dogs and cats! Her experience also includes several years of small animal emergency medicine work as well. At home she has a menagerie of animals including 2 Rhodesian ridgebacks, a sassy bengal, corydoras, snails and freshwater shrimp. She loves to fish, swim, hike and go lure coursing with her dogs. |

Registered Veterinary Technician Jess graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Ridgetown Campus in 2018. She has a soft spot for black and white cats but loves all creatures! She has several of her own pets that she cares for and has a passion for surgery, ultrasound, organization and nursing care. Jessica also has acquired her certification in veterinary ultrasound and can now perform scans in house! |

Jeanette
Registered Veterinary Technician AND Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) Jeanette graduated from Seneca College and completed the OAVT registration exam in in July 2009. Prior to becoming an RVT Jeanette enjoyed a 10 year career working in various shelters including the OSPCA. Jeanette enjoys working in surgery and performing dentals. She also has a special interest working with hospitalized patients and ensuring they are comfortable during their stay. Jeanette is passionate about companion animal rehabilitation and has since pursued her dreams to become a CCRP! |

Registered Veterinary Technician Nicole is a graduate from the University of Guelph’s Animal Biology, as well as more recently Ridgetown Campus Veterinary Technology program, Her years of experience working in the veterinary field has given her the opportunity to work with both horses and companion animals, but her love for cats and dogs has brought her back to a clinic setting. A new resident to the Woodstock area, her and her husband live with their 2 cats, Pico and Meeko, and their border collie, Willow. |

Sami
Reception, Customer Service Sami graduated from the Veterinary Medical Office Administration Program in 2013. She has extensive experience working in a veterinary clinics since 2010. Her interests include dog behaviour, traits, and training, pharmacology, patient care, pocket pets, and Dalmatians! She has been working at OCVC since 2014, shortly after the grand opening! She is often mistakenly known as Amy, Sandy, Jamie, Tammy or fill in the blanks for what sounds/rhymes with Sami! She spends the majority of her spare time with Teaghan, her Dalmatian. |
Chelsea
Reception, Customer Service Chelsea graduated from the General Business program at Mohawk College in 2010. She has over 10 years customer service experience including 7 years working in the veterinary field. She spends her spare time volunteering with Girl Guides of Canada as a unit leader. Chelsea currently lives in Brantford with her husband, twin girls, dog and 2 cats. |
